CLIMATE: THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO REDUCE THE CARBON FOOTPRINT.
John Broder in today’s New York Times says the concept of “cap and trade”
is in wide disrepute, with opponents branding it “cap and tax.” So what do
we do? Of course we need to increase efficiency, reduce waste and protect
the environment, but these things will only slow the process we’re already
in. What must be done is to reduce the fertility rate to below two, and
keep it below two until world population drops to about a third of what it
is now. It requires no draconian measures. We have only to educate women.WHAT’S NEW Robert L. Park Friday, 19 Mar 2010 Washington, DC

Global Warming
This is now a misnomer, Climate Change is now the name. Why? There are individuals looking for any kind of excuse. There was record snow fall this year in parts of the country that no longer anticipate this type of weather. So they laugh at Global Warming, call it a sham. How is this for Global Warming, Vermont has been 40 to 60 degrees for most of March, there is no snow, was hardly any snow, and now my grass is turning green. This spring has sprung at least a month before anticipated. It is no longer even muddy, mud season be damned. You can’t help but enjoy the sun in Vermont, but it is with a heavy conscience, and still, still there are those who deny the climate crisis. I wish we could arrest those individuals for crimes against humanity.

Methane & Permafrost
There are suspicions, there are feelings, and yet it’s no time to panic. I don’t believe we will panic until the ball is rolling down the corridor pinging off the sides and you stand trapped and small. We must oppose the entrenched interests, climate change is not a dream, a fantasy, it is the bed wetting nightmare for children, young adults, the middle aged, but perhaps not the old. It is time to ready for the panic.
